Senior doctors in the UK can get away with serious misconduct and are often treated as untouchable. VoR's Brendan Cole spoke to Peter Wilmhurst, consultant cardiologist at the University Hospital of North Staffordshire. In an article for the British Medical Journal, he called for senior doctors to be subject to the same codes of conduct as junior doctors.
