Starbucks, Amazon and Google accused of tax avoidance

There are calls for direct action against Starbucks, Amazon and Google over accusations they avoid paying tax in the UK. One of those advocating a boycott is Margaret Hodge, the Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee.

The giant multi-nationals had been accused of moving British profits to avoid its UK tax obligations. But the companies all insist they are acting within the law.
